In the quiet Texas town of Comfort, a dream emerged from heartbreak, resilience, and plenty of cat hair. A New Beginning in Comfort, Texas

In 2020, our founder left the bright lights of Los Angeles behind and started anew in the quiet town of Comfort, Texas. With just two suitcases, her beloved Ragdoll cats Muffin and Mochi, and a heart full of hope, she arrived to care for her aging parents and begin a new chapter surrounded by winding roads and ancient pecan trees.

One evening, after a long day, Muffin curled up on her lap and purred softly. In that peaceful moment, an idea began to form. Cats had always brought her comfort during life’s hardest seasons. What if she could create something that shared that comfort with others while giving back to the animals who needed it most?

That spark became Comfort Diva—a brand built on love for cats and a commitment to making the world a little kinder for them and for the people who adore them.

In 2024, approximately 5.9 million dogs and cats entered US shelters, with 2.9 million cats among them, and nearly 273,000 cats were euthanized due to overcrowding and limited adoptions (Shelter Animals Count, 2025). This summer, Central Texas faced a devastating crisis. Torrential floods swept through Kerrville and nearby towns, displacing families and leaving countless pets lost, stranded, or injured.

In the chaos, local rescue organizations stepped up with unwavering dedication. Kerrville Pets Alive was on the front lines, wading through floodwaters, rescuing animals in danger, reuniting pets with their families, and providing urgent food, shelter, and medical care.

One story still stays with us. A tiny tabby kitten, soaked to the bone and shivering, was found clinging to a tree branch in the aftermath of the storm. Volunteers gently pulled her to safety and cared for her through every step of recovery. Today, she is safe, loved, and thriving in a new forever home.
