Let's be honest. Nobody spends $18 on an Espresso Martini because they're thirsty. Just like our favorite cats, our favorite cocktails say something about us. They're little extensions of our personalities, our moods, and sometimes our alter egos. I have many favorite cocktails that I enjoy, but my standard go-to is always a Dirty Martini. And although I do enjoy Daniel Craig in James Bond, my love of dirty martinis pre-dates their association with the world's most famous spy. In fact, if you were to open my refrigerator, you would see half empty jars of olives with all of the brine mysteriously missing. (Blue cheese olives, of course.) Some people save the olives for last. I practically consider them a food group.

According to one personality article I stumbled across, Dirty Martini drinkers tend to be adventurous thrill seekers who appreciate a little excitement and aren't afraid to stand out from the crowd.

Is that accurate? I'll let my friends decide.
